SECTION 51 MANUAL – AFRICAN GRAPHIX

Introduction

This Manual is published in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000) (“the Act”). The Act gives effect to Section 32 of the Constitution, which provides for the right of access to information held by the State and to information held by another person that is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.

The inclusion of any information in this Manual, beyond that required in terms of the Act, does not automatically entitle a requester to access such information. Access will only be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Act.

1. Overview

African Graphix supports the constitutional right of access to information and is committed to providing access to our records in accordance with the Act, taking into account legal requirements, confidentiality obligations to third parties, and general principles of South African law.

2. Availability of this Manual

A copy of this Manual is available:

This Manual will be updated as and when required.

3. Procedure to Request Records

Requests must be submitted using the prescribed Form C (available at www.sahrc.org.za or www.doj.gov.za under "regulations"). A request fee may apply and must be paid before the request is processed.

Requests should include:

  • Full contact details of the requester

  • Sufficient details of the record requested

  • The form of access desired

  • The right being exercised or protected and an explanation of why the record is needed

  • Proof of authority if acting on behalf of another person

6. Voluntary Disclosure

African Graphix has not published any Section 52 notice of voluntary disclosures. However, general company information, services, and promotional material are made available on request and through our official communication channels.
